Recently, the New Zealand Medical Association has extended its support to baning fast food advertising during kid’s TV programs. Interestingly, the decision is based on a report that has linked the time they spend on television with an increased danger of obesity.

The report has concluded that generally young children are not able to mark the difference between advertising and education information. Debating over the topic NZMA concluded that it would be better if the junk food ads are off air while kids are watching television.
