Baidu.com Inc. of China has disclosed that it will sell advertising for MSN and other websites affiliated to Microsoft Corp. The latest move is a part of the recent strategic alliance forged between these two companies in this week. Under the arrangements of the deal Microsoft will display Baidu’s paid search listings on the search results pages of certain Microsoft Web sites.
Baidu has revealed the recently forged deal while a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed yet.
The Microsoft has stated that China is one of its most important markets and the recently inked deal will definitely help the company to provide new opportunities for advertisers. For Microsoft the deal is very important as it is concentrating on expanding its search business in China.
