Metro Transit has decided to peel off some of the wrap-advertising on buses and trains. Full-wrap is a type of outdoor advertisement that envelops trains and buses in gigantic graphics printed on adhesive vinyl film. However, this form of advertisement has received many complaints by the people. Passengers, drivers and transit police have said that they did not like this form of advertisement as these ads make it difficult to see out of the train and bus windows.

Following the criticism, transit agency has now decided to allow wrap-advertising to wrap only half of the window of a bus or train enabling people to see out of it. In addition to it, windows beside the boarding doors will remain ad free. Metro Transit has recently hired a new advertising broker to advertisements on buses and trains. Metro Transit is expecting to earn ad revenue to the tune of $3.3 million this year, up from $3 million in 2006.
