A new book authored by Michael Buerk suggests that men are tired of their portrayal in advertising. True to the fact, men in advertising are increasingly depicted as storehouse of stupid activities. However, John Camm, besides men’s stereotype depiction, considers a set of fixed rules on which the ad industry thrives.

He has prepared a list of unwritten rules that he considers that it would be prove to be Advertising Bible. Following are the set of rules which ad industry follows tacitly but religiously.

1. Men are obsessed with sex but will forego sex in order to watch football or drink beer.

2. Women are locked in a constant battle with their weight/body shape/hairstyle.

3. Career success is entirely based on your ability to impress your boss.

4. Mums are often harassed but NEVER depressed/unable to cope.
