Las Vegas tourism officials are about to reveal a fresh blueprint that sketches out a strategy over the next three years to attract tourists from other countries who have inhibited away from the US since the 9/11 attacks. According to reports, tourism officials have said that the message of promoting Las Vegas as a place of ‘adult freedom,’ where one can do things you can’t or wouldn’t at home.

As a matter of fact, this changed strategy has already been implemented and advertisements started to be aired on this changed approach earlier this year. The thrust is also given on targeting Hispanics in a Spanish-language version of the ”What Happens Here, Stays Here” television ads, which started being sired in the US and in Mexico in May.

Tourism officials are also targeting the UK as the third largest source of foreign visitors, following Canada and Mexico on number one and second position respectively.

‘What Happens Here, Stays Here’ message is being specifically customized to “British humor” for attracting the UK market, said Rob Dondero, executive vice president of R&R Partners, the firm that created the campaign.
