For the kind information of those desperate journalists who have been pink-slipped by their esteemed organization, know that PepsiCo has opened its door for you.
PepsiCo, as part of its efforts to flex its muzzle in the social media space, is set to hire people to use blogs, Twitter and Web video to chronicle events from Internet Week, running June 1-8 in New York.
Apart from Journalists, the program is also open to students, social media experts and anyone who has got flair for new media reporting.
“What we’re looking for are storytellers or journalists or professionals that are at work in this space,” said Bonin Bough, director of digital and social media at PepsiCo.
For picking up the right candidates, PepsiCo has set up a selection committee, headed by Bough and Stephanie Agresta, a social media consultant to PepsiCo and a blogger at InternetGeekGirl.com.
