has recently disclosed that its advertising revenue for the year 2006 will by down by 12.5 percent compare to the last year’s income. The UK’s biggest commercial television broadcaster said that it will match its 2006 programming budget next year since its looking forward to reverse the result.

Interestingly, the company’s morning flagship program GMTV slipped three percent, however, it was up by 40 percent for the digital channels. The company maintained that while airtime sales environment has remain challenging its digital channels have continued to perform strongly.

Moreover, the company has projected its brave face by setting up a target of advertising revenue at £150 million for its digital channels for the year 2007. The company has also expressed confidence that it is looking to make £40 million through operational efficiency savings by 2008.
