Some are calling the PG-13 rated King Kong the movie event of the year but you don’t have to wait to find King Kong merchandise. It’s everywhere, down the food aisle, in the toy aisle, and even a game you can buy for X-Box 360. A lot of the merchandise is geared toward young children but is the movie suitable for kids? NEWS 10NBC spoke with a marketing professor and a pediatrician Tuesday and they both agree King Kong is probably not a movie for anyone under the age of 10 even though it’s being marketed to every generation. ‘Its cross generational is what the target is. They’re trying to market two audiences in one and if your successful in one u may turn off the other,’ said RIT marketing professor Dr. Eugene Fram.
