This advertising initiative is an example for how to draw the necessary attention of the authorities on social issues, indeed without resorting to violence. This initiative developed by David&Goliath, USA, aims to the draw the attention of the President to the situation caused by the volcanic mud eruption in Porong, Sidoarjo which reportedly made about 10000 houses and facilities under water.
The effort aimed to indicate that even after four years after the incident, the mud flow victims are still in limbo. So an art installation in front of the presidential palace was carried on. The installation indicated the current situation of Sidorajo.
The positive point about the campaign is that this effort got immediate media publicity, and the president visited the sidorajo mud-flow site.
