Gay and Lesbian Film Festival: Coming out of the closet

This is an interesting ambient advertisement campaign launched on the eve of ‘Gay and Lesbian Film Festival’. The advertisement was actually launched in the public interest to draw people’s attention to address a large and important issue pertaining to gays and lesbians. The advertisement probably aims at depicting that these people are trapped in social dogmas and are in dire need to come out of it.

The advertisement is showing a chained closet and the tag carrying message ‘Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. Opening Soon.’ To make it more effective the admen played a knocking and screaming sound from inside the closet. This strategy outlined the message that people are trapped inside are desperate to come out. The closet was placed strategically in a cinema complex two weeks prior to the beginning of the festival.
