Well, all the best-of lists got into some controversy the minute they are born and certainly this one published at Wall Street Journal and created by none other than Jerry Della Famina also had its share too. But before you jump onto any conclusion and make a roar on why does not it include inspirational stuff like “How to win friends and influence people” by Dell Carnegie, the list of famous five I presume only follows advertising and core advertising stuff only.

Here are the chosen five:

Dr Prem Web Design and Development

The 100 Greatest Advertistements 1852-1958 by Julius Lewis Watkins, 1959

Confessions of an Advertising Man by David Ogilvy, 1963

Bill Bernbach’s Book By Bob Levenson, 1987

A Technique for Producing Ideas, by James Webb Young, 1940

Reality in Advertising, Rosser Reeves (inventor of the USP), 1961

So, plese dont argue over it. I am sure you have some from the list and in case missed on any one may always go for a read. A must have collection for all advertising (and would be) professionals and for all devotees of the game.
