Don’t steal chocolates, you will be banned

Well, for me, it is a bit difficult to digest. May be because of cultural and regional disparities. Or is it because of my lack of receptiveness? Isn’t it a feeble reason to ban an ad on the grounds of showing a person(a celebrity) stealing a chocolate, if it is in a light-hearted manner?

The news is that an ad featuring Brisbane Broncos NRL team has been banned because it shows star player Sam Thaiday stealing chocolate bars from a vending machine.

Though the company claims that the ad was ‘’light-hearted’’, some viewers were not amused, says the report.

ASB says- The Board considered that there is no suggestion that the player has not paid for one of the products and that there is not necessarily a suggestion of theft. However the Board noted it would not be the case that the man would have paid for the number of product that fell from the machine and that therefore there is a depiction or suggestion of theft.

Well, its quite complicate
