You need to draw the attention of the customers to sell your product. But that doesnât mean that you have succeeded in persuading the customer. The tactics you use to draw the attention matters. It all depends on whether you positively or negatively attract the customer. That is what the Russel agency tries to convey through this spot called âBobâs Mopsâ
The spot shows a shop owner desperately trying to attract some sales, by attracting the attention of the customers. For that, A man donning gorilla suites dances in front of the shop, with a view to entertain the customers. But obviously the opposite happens. The âguerillaâ scares away the customers. The agency gives a message, with a tinge of humor that futile tactics like hiring a guerilla will not help to raise the sales. You need an intelligent approach. The copy reads- grabbing attention isnât the same as getting customers
