The latest fad, user generated advertising is coming alive on television. The 30 second car commercial from Chevrolet though shows some cliche stuff, car amidst sunflower fields, loud music, country road etc the honchos seem to be pleased with the exercise. And believe me guys, if this trend scores well with the masses a there will be reasons for lot of advertising creative executives to feel insecure.
On March 13 Chevrolet as a part of the campaign has introduced an interactive website where visitors can take existing video clips and insert own of thoughts of theirs into it.
And voila, you have just created a 30 second television commercial for the 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Though you wont be called American Idol but certainly you can try your luck in the agencies where some positions have suddenly become vacant.
