Mcdonalds have been sponsoring the Olympic Games as the Official restaurant for the past 40 years. This year for the Beijing Olympics, they seem to have planned for quite a slew of events as a part of their sponsorship activities. This is probably the first time where employees, who will come from around the world to provide their service, are going to be involved in various activities to showcase the ideals of the game i.e teamwork and excellence. These employees will be a part of the big mac competition. Apart form this, these crews will showcase a video that talks about their relationship and thoughts on the game. The best video here gets a medal and a cash prize of $2500.

McDonalds has been often accused of making Kids obese and in their effort to get away from this image, around 200 kids from different countries will be coming to the games as a part of McDonald effort to engage these youngsters in activities that focus on body, mind and spirit. These youngsters will get to meet athletes from around the world and also act as youth correspondents relaying back their experience in the Games.

McDonalds has also created an Online game where players have to search for 27 hidden artifacts all around the world. They have roped in Edwin Moses as a blogger on the game and in the spirit of community are donating $100,000 to the Ronald McDonald Housing Charities that supports earthquake victims in China.

Such initiatives are sure to pay off for McDonalds resulting in another successful Summer Olympics campaign for them.
