“Welcome to the coke side of life” the Coca Cola ‘Parade’ ad which started airing from yesterday hopes to make its stuff more important (or relevant, it has also launched an apple infused juice, don’t know the percentage of soda though into it) to people. The aim of the campaign is: people should love the product; people should love the brand as well at the same time. Hmm.
Well, for your kind information, sales of Coke Classic fell by 2% in the last year. May be, either people did not care much about the brand and switched (brand and or category?) or not simply loving the product. The downfall happened first time in the history of Coca Cola since 1985.
The commercial features a small boy on BMX while riding through a small town of America parade also gulping Coke.
The ad campaign will be launched worldwide after Footy World Cup.
Wieden Kennedy, the agency behind the campaign among other places has bought spots on CBS (NCAA Final Hour) and on Fox (American Idol).
