CALM Ad based on London Bombings withdrawn amidst Protests

A contentious advertisement campaign having some strands of London Bombings has been prevented form its release just before it was likely to be released for public. The advertisement was withdrawn after infuriated protests from the public. The poster campaign by the charity Campaign Against Living Miserably had an intention to raise the issue of male-suicide.

The upcoming ad had featured a bus that was blown up in the bombing and use strap line, ‘Last year, 4 suicidal British men got our attention. Unfortunately, 973 others didn’t. Text CALM to 80082.’

The ad campaign was created by the ad agency Ogilvy and Mather which was all set to be launched by yesterday but its date coincided World Mental health Day, however, the ad was pulled off at the last moment.
