Cadbury, in its latest tvc too, is continuing with its âBritish outsourced humorâ for its dark Chocolate Bournville.
Banking on the previous tagline, You don’t just buy a Bournville; you earn it,(which clearly reflects the concept) the TVC features a butler, James, who does not appreciate the finer things in life. While imitating his employer, he bites into his Bournville; and as a result, a piano lands on his head.
Indeed, being a British company, we can expect humor with an English touch. The commercial has an international standard and fine humor. But, I am a bit apprehensive about the cultural adaptability of this humorous twist.
Let us wait to see whether people can really âenjoyâ the humor.
