There have been few instances when parodies failed to hit the bull’s eye. Thankfully for Metro, the Pope’s hand of grace was sufficient to veer their creation to the majority league. The only regret, even if superficial, would be the fact that Metro goofed up with the Pope’s Zuchetto (the skull cap) and the cape. Quite a glaring blunder, I must say, considering the fact that the Holy Father represents ‘peace’ and not ‘passion’. The guys at Metro, though, wouldn’t be too concerned ‘coz they have succeeded in drawing audience attention;among them, for all the wrong reasons, the Archdiocese of Washington. A bobblehead Pope would be quite a sight during the Papal Mass at Nationals Park, despite the Church’s fervent efforts to get the video off YouTube. Trouble, fellas, is that a physical manifestation of the bobblehead has already found its way into people’s homes. Time for benediction?
