The new $180 million BMW’s ad with the inspiring theme ‘Ideas are everything’ will be out on Monday. The GSD&M’s alliance with writer Richard Florida, which BMW hired to produce this ad, has some interesting ideas projected in the ad.
It sets out a bold idea that compares the luxury carmaker to risk-takers (creative class) who dare to defy convention and avoids likening it to affluent consumers only. It also sets out the message that unlike General Motors, Ford or DaimlerChrysler, BMW respect for unconventional points of view. It also cleverly tells why BMW is better than other brands.
