There is a classical touch for the word ballet and its artistic implications. Ballet is usually considered as an art form which caters to the âhigh cultured viewersâ. The campaign for Smuin Ballet Company aims to break this truth or myth about ballet, and presents some innovative ads, as an effort to connect with the young audience.
The ads show ballerinas on the stage with a clear âpop culture elementâ merged to them. The different taglines beginning with ââballet, but..ââ aim to give a message that it is not just a ballet form and it carries some âspicyâ elements.
Some of the taglines are: ballet, but entertaining (so, is ballet not entertaining, usually?)
Ballet, but spicy (sounds reasonable), ballet but bold (how?).
Are they guilty to say that they are a ballet group? Like someone says- I am short but I am strong.
