The latest advertising campaign titled Bahamavention launched by Bahamas Ministry of Tourism landed in fierce debate in the U.S. The latest pro-Bahamas campaign has been badly criticized by a leading newspaper Chicago Su-Times. On the other hand, AdCritic.com has chosen one television spot ‘Monte’ from the campaign as the TV spot across the U.S. The ad was launched last week with much fanfare in New York.
Reacting to the criticism, the tourism officials have pointed out that everybody entitled to his own opinion and the criticism by the newspaper is nothing but an opinion piece. Shrugging off the criticism they further stated that the columnist of the newspaper may not have been complimentary to the campaign, but the campaign was only launched after conducting due diligence.
The television spots are already being aired in the U.S. since a week and the tourism officials have said that they receiving positive response.
