The censors have said cut to the ad for Women’s aid in which Keira Knightly is shown repeatedly kicked on the floor by her boyfriend. Advertising approval body ‘Clearcast’ has deemed the scene too violent for TV and insists to remove the violent parts.

The ad, called ” The Cut “, shows the actress returning home from a film set to be confronted by a violent boyfriend who knocks her down to the floor.

However, Women’s Aid says it portrayed the reality of domestic violence.
Though the ad, has been launched in British cinemas, with this new turn of events, it can be aired on television only if scenes showing Keira being thrown to the floor and beaten are removed.
