Anheuser-Busch to launch Bud.TV to attract young audience

The famous brewer Anheuser-Busch has recently announced that it will be launching a web based video network in February next year. The website has been named Bud.TV and it will incorporate humorous webisodes, sporting events, celebrity interviews along with consumer-generated content.

The brewer company is already spending a whopping amount on television and other traditional media to advertise itself among young people. However, it has been felt that the target audience, young male, of the companies in recent times has become difficult to reach through traditional or TV media.

Therefore, this was the pressing need of the company to advertise on Internet based medium so that it can reach to its target audience. In its this effort the company has decided to start Bud.TV to attract male adults. The company is also likely to divert its ad spending to online medium as it has been reported that it will spend around 10 percent of its U.S. ad budget on Internet ads on BudTV and even on third party websites.
