American Legacy Foundation, an anti smoking group, has won the legal battle against North Carolina based cigarette maker Lorillard Tobacco. The Washington based group is famous for its edgy ads and the group was taken to the court over an ad featuring teenagers.

The Delaware Supreme Court, in its judgment ruled out that the ad created by the ALF has not violated the agreement between the tobacco industry and the states. The agreement puts restrictions on tobacco marketing and the creation of the foundation that the tobacco companies fund via their payment to the states.

According to the deal, the foundation cannot attack or criticize any company or executives in particular. On the other hand, Lorillard has argued that the foundation was doing it in its ads.
