Al Qaida Job ad: Nuke Scientists wanted

In a unique audiotape ad, Al Qaida has called for nuclear scientists to join the group. The voice is believed to be of Abu Hamza al-Muhazir who is popularly known as Abu Ayyub al-Masri. The tape informs that the group is looking for experts in the field of ‘chemistry, physics, electronics, media and all other sciences — especially nuclear scientists and explosives experts’. The 20-minute tape was released yesterday on a website that recurrently airs al Qaidda messages.

The audiotape can practically be dubbed as a job ad since it aims at recruiting people for their ongoing jihad against the Western countries. The ad further said, ‘The field of jihad can satisfy your scientific ambitions, and the large American bases (in Iraq) are good places to test your unconventional weapons, whether biological or dirty, as they call them’.

The speaker has identified himself as Abu Hamza al-Muhazir who is believed to have succeeded succeeded Abu Musab al-Zarqawi who died in U.S. strike.
