Positive outlook by marketers for 2013, digital still a low key

Ipsos survey:

All the marketers have lots of hopes on this year and they are expecting excellent returns in this year. Most of the Indian marketers have lots of hopes on their brands in this year and they are expecting better results than the year passed. The recent survey conducted by the Ipsos revealed this fact about the marketer’s expectations. Already 45% of the marketers said that their brands had performed in a great way this year. Where 30% of the marketers experienced the same results and the rest 25% experienced failure. Ipsos 2013 survey has conducted an interview in which more than 372 marketing experts have participated from Asia.

Biswarup Benerjee, who is the head of Ipsos in India, had said that, marketers paid more attention to understand the criteria of the target audience in the year 2012, but in 2013 the marketers are showing more interest on the creative and unique marketing solutions. It is the PR and CRM who plays the main role in a marketing communication plan. 68% of the marketers believe that ROI enhancement is necessary for effective business, where as 60% of the marketers believe in building brand loyalty. The other 60% of the marketers gives importance to digital media platforms like blogs, social networking sites, mobiles etc.

The 70% of the marketers in India and 60% of the marketers in China have decided to enhance the overall budget of their marketing investments in the year 2013. At present they are working on budget of 1-6million dollars. Besides, the consumer product firms will have more budgets. From health care to finance everything have lots of hopes on the year 2013. It is revealed that the digital marketing channels were not given main priority by the marketers in this year. Besides, they haven’t given importance to the mobile and social media marketing too this year. Benerjee added that the marketers have to pay more attention to the digital channels in order to improve the popularity of their brands.

68% of the marketers believe in social networking sites to enhance their business. This survey was conducted during the months of December 2012 and the January of this year. 30% respondents of this survey were from China and the rest 70% were from the healthcare, finance and consumer products industries of India. Benerjee also said that it is the digital media channels which would help you in promoting your business.
