While we are used to seeing print adverts adorning every page of the newspapers but perhaps for the first time we would see public awareness messages on the top most corner of newspapers juxtaposed against the page number that serves as statistics relating to AIDS. Cape Argus has adapted this unique propaganda strategy to spread awareness against the AIDS pandemic in South Africa. Hence, the message on top of the page of the newspaper is no less important than the bold headlines of the day.
