The Israeli election campaign titled “Red Dawn” released by Likud party over Internet and movie theatres features images similar to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The incident irked Russian Foreign Ministry so much so it slammed an official campaign leading to a prompt apology from the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In the advertisement Putin’s face was morphed into the acting Prime Minister of Israel Ehud Olmert. Though the ad has been pulled from the official Likud website as from the movie theatre last Friday but because of the sheer controversial power it still takes its rounds very much on Russain language websites.
