The potato chips maker Fritto Lay has a new account for Doritos, Goodby Silverstein & Partners,a n Omnicom agency. The flagship brands like Lay’s potato chips and Cheetos however will remain with New York based BBDO world-wide.
More relevancy to customers and one of the strongest brands of Fritto-Lays, that’s what Goodby will try to attain in the coming months. Estimated billings for the account will be, as reported by Adweek, will be more than $30 million.
Last year the Doritos spent, as per the Nielsen survey around $50 million till November up from $30 million in 2004.
Good times for Goodby, if you recall, the agency has bagged Hewlett-Packard Co’s personal system account. A 300 million billing project.
