In the Winter Olympics event Samsung may have faced some problems like whether or not to put its brand name on flat screen or laptop even at its own pavilion or at VIP lounge but it surely won lot of hearts with tv commercial which stars still cute Italian skiing legend Alberto Tomba. The “Samsung Salutes the Olympic games” TV spot which is globally on air has been created by Leo Burnett. Three times gold medalist Tomba is shown running with the inaugural torch while fans are saluting him with illuminated cell phone.
In the last Athens Olympics where Samsung was one of the sponsors gained considerable amount of brand awareness after the event was over. Hopeful this time too?
