Gulnara Karimova, the eldest daughter of Uzbek President Islam Karimov is the next entrant on our yoga celebrities’ list. Just recently, she took to Twitter for touting yoga benefits while demonstrating some yoga poses herself. However, in Uzbekistan, her action has displeased some despotic audiences who have their own opinions on her overstepping the propriety in the Muslim country.
As you can see in the images below, Karimova demonstrated common yoga positions like the Downward-Facing Dog, the Plow, the Cobra and the Angry Cat pose. Taken during a yoga session, the yoga poses bring out the unparallel figure that Karimova has. Some critics see this move as an attempt to soften her public image for being the single most hated person in the country.
