  • Shiatsu is one of the ancient holistic healing techniques. It was introduced in Japan from China. “Shiatsu” means “finger pressure” in Japanese. The fingers are used to apply pressure on the body, so as to stimulate healing process of body.
  • Shiatsu is based on the fact that health is a reflection of the harmony and balance functioning of all systems within the body, and an obstruction or blockage of the free flowing energy (ki or chi) in meridian causes illness.
  • The shiatsu practitioner stimulates the meridian energy points using his finger pressure to eradicate the diseased condition and maintain the balance within the body.
  • The shiatsu therapist decides the health status of patient by observing appearance, condition of hair, tone of the skin and the way patient’s walks and talks. After that he uses any of the shiatsu styles including:
