Visits to religious places ensure good health in older people

Participating in religious functions and going to church or shine may keep people healthy in older age. Dr. Joanna Maselko, Temple University in Philadelphia and her colleagues have come out with this idea after carrying out a study. During study, it was found that people in their 70s, who went to church, synagogue or mosque at least once a week had better lung functioning when compared with the people didn’t visit such religious places.

Some earlier studies have also proved this fact that visiting religious places helps keeping up healthier life in older age.

Personally, I believe that this is all due to the mental peace and comfort that one gets in such religious places.
