Medication is one of the major factors influencing the entire treatment procedure. But in some circumstances the medication process can go horribly wrong creating peril for patients and in extreme cases, may even result in death.
Every country has its own norms and regulations controlling the medication system. You must acquaint yourself with these regulations, in your role as a patient. You must then ensure that your treating facility is complying with these preset norms. Patients should check factors like the labelling of medications, the conditions under which the medicines are stored and the process by which medicines are identified. Extra care is required for medicines that tend to look alike and have similar names; medical personnel should not confuse similar looking medicines.
