Tea could heal skin damage caused by cancer radiation therapy!

A new study gives you another reason to have more tea. According to the new study, tea extracts can help in healing skin damage caused by radiation treatment in patients with cancer. Before concluding this, Frank Pajonk from the University of California in Los Angeles and his colleagues from the University of Freiburg, Germany, studied the effects of green and black tea extracts on those patients who had undergone radiotherapy. Later these researchers analyzed the effect of the same tea extract on human and mice white blood cells in culture and then came out exposing that tea extracts inhibit inflammatory pathways, reducing inflammation.

However, green tea extracts were found more effective in some patients compared to black tea extracts. This is fantastic news that adds another chapter to the study being carried out to find a better solution to skin cancer.
