Swinging on chair may help in backache

Swinging on the chair often understands as bad manner but it may be good for the back. The Charity BackCare conducted a survey and concluded that the young children who usually had the 15,000 hours of sitting at a desk between the ages of five to 16, ten percent of them have caused major back trouble.

BackCare is lobbying for the establishments of back-friendly chairs in schools. They wants to replace the old ubiquitous plastic bucket chair with the new forward tilting chairs and angled desks. The charity is going to start a campaign for good posture in schools.

According to Dr Gardner, tipping the seat to 20 degrees forward, one may avoid the load on the back and bending habit.

BackCare is going to start its ‘Watch Your Back’ week in schools throughout the country for a week starting on October 16, 2006.
