Can anyone share some spirulina health benefits?

Yesterday I was reading an article about spirulina, it was written there that spirulina is as good as oxygen because of high content of protein and some secondary metabolisms. I am very much health conscious and always want to add healthy food items in my diet. So, I want to know more about spirulina. Please share some information about spirulina health benefits?
