'Save the children' reveals new born death rate in developing world

About two million babies don’t see the second day and four million don’t see another month in the developing countries. The ‘save the children’ charity shocks the world by its annual report i.e. State of the World’s Mothers 2006. Further it says that some of the curable problems like infections, difficult birth and low weight, play major role in the deaths. Many of them can be saved by simple techniques only.

The Scandinavian countries are the safest place to be mother while African countries are most dangerous. The report says that about sixty million mothers give birth without any help of skilled person third world. The political will and awareness program can be more helpful to the stop this death rates.

The charity annual report has a list of the rankings of the countries where it is safe to be a mother. Sweden tops the list and Niger is at the bottom place in the list.
