Kenya is celebrating the birth of its first test tube babies. Both are, the female child, born in Nairobi. They were born to women of age 30 and 35 at a private hospital. Mothers as well as the babies are enjoying good health.
Dr Joshua Noreh supervised the births and made a landmark for Kenya. The first test tube baby was born in the UK 28 years ago.
One of the mothers, Agnes, earlier had the problem of an ectopic pregnancy. But she delivered the baby without any complications. The second mother, Jane, express the birth as the best moment of her life.
Some Kenyan women have undergone successful IVF treatment earlier but they were to travel neighbouring countries like Uganda or South Africa for that.
