Red wine reduces deafness

Ah, the goodness of Red wine! First they said it is good for the heart. Researchers says that consuming a fair amount of red wine or aspirin can delay the age related hearing problem and deafness caused by loud noise or antibiotics. Loud noise and some antibiotics cause cellular processes which generates oxygen free radicals in the ear. It damages the slights hairs of inner ear which are critical for hearing capacity. The process runs throughout life.

Resveratrol, an antioxidant, found in red wine and green tea, or salicylate, the active component of aspirin, help to counterbalance these free radicals. It is anticipated to protect against the damages in ear.
