Hollywood actors Uma Thurman, Demi Moore, and Natalie Portman are all feasting on raw meat. Puzzled? It is all about the new raw meat diet and the debate at the outset is going back to the Paleolithic nutrition after a drastic evolution of food.
It is true that over the years, the human body has not changed, but human diet is definitely subjected to environmental changes.
The recent studies in the Scotsman by Stephen McGinty and by Karl Loren bring out the significance of eating raw meat. Though the capacity of our body to produce enzymes reduces over the years, it does not mean that we start taking live enzymes.
I completely disagree with eating live enzymes in form of raw meat, as there are studies, which shows that uncooked meat like pork and beef contains toxoplasmosis, salmonellas, and E. coli infections. The study says that there are numerous cases of well-defined, well-tracked food poisonings from raw or undercooked meat in the U.S.
I wonder how Britain can take the risk of opening raw-food eateries at the outset of an E.coli outbreak.
