Passive smokers can also develop diabetes

A new study reveals the fact that glucose intolerance is found highest among ‘smokers’. ‘Passive smokers’ place themselves at second place. ‘Former smokers’ are at third place and at last ‘never smokers’ with not any passive smoke exposure find the place at fourth position. It shows that the people who never smokes but have an exposure to smoking are also at the risk to develop diabetes.

This report is published online in British Medical Journal (BMJ). At the same time, this is an observational study only. The expert says that establishing a link between exposure to smoking and glucose intolerance need a medical approval too. However, it is surveyed on African-American people, it is not necessary to have the same result in the case of Asian population
