Foods to Include in Pancreatitis Diet

Have plenty of water intake daily.

You may drink a lot of herbal drinks like green tea. You may also include tea made from holy basil. It is good to consume holy basil extracts.

Reishi mushroom, Indian gooseberry and rhodiola are some of the recommended mushrooms to consume due to their powerful antioxidant properties. They are known to be one of the richest sources containing vitamin C. According recent study, they have proven effective in treatment of pancreatitis.

To increase the intake of antioxidants, you can include grape seed extract in your daily diet.

Consuming green tea daily with inclusion of ginger is an excellent way to treat pancreatitis. Ginger can also be added while preparing other meals.

Cinnamon Chinese bark and Asian ginseng are used commonly while preparing different cuisines. Increase the intake of these ingredients as they are helpful in showing recovery from the particular condition.

Sea vegetables and leafy green vegetables are rich in vitamin B and iron so including them in your diet is a good option.

Cherries, blueberries and tomatoes must also be included in your diet.

Opt for olive oil to cook all the meals.

Eat small meals in the entire day. Have 5 to 6 meals rather than 3 traditional meals.
