Ovarian cancer: Turning off the genes early

Methylation, a gene inactivation technique, will now turn off N33 and NFA6R, the two genes that have shown least activity in ovarian cancer patients. Professor Michael Krainer, an ovarian cancer researcher at the Medical University of Vienna, has suspected that N33 and NFA6R are the two main culprits behind ovarian cancer, which has taken the lives of 114,000 women.
If this research holds well then the gene can be methylated in the tumor and it will be easy to detect the disease in the early stages and an early diagnoses would be more effective in case of ovarian cancer. Well, regenerative medicines can also be a better option.Read More
