Mid-Aged Men Twice As Likely to Die As Women: Study

Compared to women, men are twice as likely to die between the ages of 30 and 65, a German study reveals. The reasons for men’s higher mortality included their greater readiness to take health risks and their more dangerous working conditions, the study by the Institute for Public Health and Nursing Research at the University of Bremen in Germany said.

The study found that a third of the men in that age group, and a sixth of women, drink too much alcohol. And to detect early-stage cancer, half of the women, and a fifth of the men, have medical check-ups. And it is found that while women are found to suffer from psychological disorders and pain more frequently, men are injured more often.
