It was late last year, China reported its first human death from the deadly bird flu. A 29-year-old woman has become the 11th person to die from the virulent H5N1 strain in the country, state media have reported.
A migrant to Shanghai, the woman is identified only by her surname Li. The Xinhua news agency said that she died in the city on Tuesday. It is the first known case in Shanghai, and the city has opened 160 monitoring stations at health clinics. But, it is not yet known how the woman contracted the disease!
