Menstruation makes women more prone to sports injuries!

Women passing through the phase of menstruation are more prone to injuries; a new study by a Swedish researcher has brought this fact to the light.

The researchers Inger Jacobson believes that during menstruation the level of relaxin (a hormone which relaxes ligaments) goes higher that ultimately turns women more prone to injuries, especially during sports.

However, some other studies nourish the belief that during menstruation, women have lesser postural control that ultimately makes them more vulnerable to injuries.

In my opinion, there is requirement of further and deeper study to reach the core of the problem. This will really help women, especially sports women to cope with injuries during sports.
