Believe it or not but it is true that the threat of bird flu will go on hanging on the lives of humans as well as of animals like the sword of damocles in the next decade too. The coordinator of UN, David Nabarro has expounded this belief. In his words:
The virus is likely to be with us for the five or ten years to come.
It is worth knowing that H5N1 virus for the first time sprouted out in the year 2003 and by now, H5N1 virus has been confirmed in 256 humans and total number of people died of this virus has reached the figure of 152.
I think that whole world should take this prediction seriously and should come jointly to end the spread of this deadly bird-flu.
