Increasing consumption of multivitamin and mineral supplements not good

The National Institutes of Health has released a statement that shows a concern over the increasing consumption of multivitamin and mineral supplements, or MVMs. NIH says that fifty percent of American adults are taking MVMs without knowing any benefits or loss. In fact some people are getting too much of certain nutrients without any necessity.

The study has recommended some processes and needs to have MVMs in certain cases. The study team has found that some of those are useful but some are recommending to the general public without any need.

Generally, health conscious people are always likely to consume MVMs. And it is tough to decide whether MVMs, work out, or any other factors leads to good health of the people. The team has identified several possible risks of taking MVMs.

Further, It says that over consumption of certain nutrients do make bad effects on health. The researchers has called on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for need of modifications in the regulations of MVMs.
